Thanks For Your Service...

This is the first time in four and a half years that I do not have one of these in my house. It is a wonderful feeling. While they are wonderful for containing the smell of poopy diapers, there is nothing worse than cracking the seal and pulling out the bag of week old poopiness. Yay! While I am excited to see it gone, a small, very small part of me is attached to this beast. Never again will I take the time to research the very best diaper container. Never again will I be excited to see one like I was the first time I proudly set it in the corner of the bedroom. I'm not saying that we won't be needing this again...sometime....but I am so over it. Diaper Genie, Thanks for the memories, but I am so finished with you.

And on a less stinky note, I had to sneak out to the shop and take a picture of my shelving units in progress. This photo does not do them justice, I promise you. But I was so excited to see it all coming together! We went to Boise and picked up the countertop formica today. Paint tomorrow. Install soon. Hopefully. I am so spoiled!

Hope all of you are doing something fun this weekend. I am going to try to catch up on some painting upstairs, some organizing upstairs, and get our taxes filed tonight. Hoping for a BIG refund.........hoping.....hoping.....hoping........

We have a list of wishes a mile long, if only we could get back like $20,000. Ha ha ha! At this point, any extra money is going to help with the scrapbook room project. Love tax refunds.

pRoJeCt LiFe Update

Happy Thursday! Finally feeling a little less slumpy about this crappy weather. Having a productive day. Took Cameron to preschool this morning and then went to volunteer at Carberry. I taught an art lesson to the 6th graders there. It's always nice to be back in the teaching mode. I'm so lucky that Mrs. Proctor (my good friend, Melissa) let's me come in once a month and pretty much do whatever I want to do with her students. Tucker just comes along with me and hangs out in the back of the classroom on the beanbags eatin' some pretzels. We did a lesson titled, "Bad Hair Day", in which we drew funny faces and then used lots of different lines, values, and designs to create crazy hair all over the rest of the paper. They look AWESOME! I just love the fact that I can focus on one lesson for a month and do it well instead of just trying to get something accomplished to meet a benchmark or standard. Now if only I got paid for my time......

Above is a picture of Cameron moving in on my new scrapbook space. She put her old desk in my spot and was working with her rubber stamps today. I have come to the conclusion that this is not "MY" space, but "OUR" space...or maybe even "CAMERONS" space. Whatever it is, it's looking AWESOME! Can't wait to show it off!

In the meantime, here are three weeks worth of January photos in my Project Life book. The great thing about having all of my scrapbooking packed away is that I have had nothing to do EXCEPT Project Life. Therefore, I have been really focused on keeping up with the journaling and printing my pictures every day. If you haven't ordered one of these for yourself, it's not too late, and it's such a fun way to document the mundane and exciting parts of life. Little or no effort is required. It's easy to make it look awesome, and the price is fabulous! I heard it's at the top of the best seller list on Amazon.com, even surpassing the kindle as a must buy. Check it out!

I am branching out a little bit on this page by including paint and formica samples from my room. I also printed a picture of Princess and the Frog since we went to see that movie last Saturday night. The more I do with this, the braver I get on what I am going to include to document that day.

I love the contrast of days on these pages. One day is super super exciting...visitng the hospital to meet our new nephew, Wyatt. The next day is so boring, the only thing I had to record was more potty training. Life is such an amazing mix of activities.

So, what do you think? Any other Project Lifers out there reading this? I'd love to see yours!

Two Steps Forward--12 Steps Back

I may have bragged up Tucker a tad too soon. Aparantly, when the candy and the hot wheels were phased out, so was the potty training. He has had two really bad days of accidents so we are back on plan A, which is bribe to potty.

I took this shot of Tucker and Matt spending some Daddy/Son time together out front. Tucker is very into his "motorcycle" right now, but he scares me to death on it. He runs over bushes, curbing, hits the side of the house, and so on. Our backyard is one huge muddy pond from putting in the drainfield last summer, so he is stuck out on the road in front of our house, therefore, someone has to be walking beside him and ready to steer him away from danger at all times. Hopefully he improves in his driving skills before he turns 16.

I am thinking about going to the fabric store and getting the stuff to make him a superman cape. Cameron always wants to play dressup and he is the "Prince" but he still wears play high heels and a white girls hat. As amusing as it is, it needs to stop. When it comes to boys dressing up, there just are not that many options. I'm hoping the superman cape will suffice.

Crafts/Scrapbookwise, I haven't done much since Christmas, as my room is torn apart and there is nowhere to do it. I did, however, sign up for a "Whimsy Jar" swap which is due on February 5th and it's Valentine related. I have the jar....and that's it. I need to get to work on that.

Been trying to catch up on some reading this week. Haven't felt very good so I'm spending a lot of time lounging. I have finished up three religious books that were started and then left to linger so I'm feeling pretty accomplished in that department. Trying to get some other things finished up so I can start on my New Years Resolution of reading the classics.

STILL trying to pick a color for my countertops in my bonus room--soon to be scraproom. Can't wait, can't wait!

Enjoy your evening. Looking forward to some Chinese food with the Logger while my Mom and Dad have the kids for the evening.

I Am Too Absolutely Small for School (Charlie and Lola) I Am Too Absolutely Small for School by Lauren Child

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Another great kids book. If you're not familiar with the Disney TV Show, "Charlie and Lola", then you'll need to know it's a British story about Charlie (big brother) and Lola (little sister). Lola basically runs the show and Charlie basically lets her. She is hilarious. She reasons through life like most preschool aged children and she is really funny.

In this book, she is old enough to go to school. But she is sure she is not old enough because she has lots of important things to do at home all day.

If you are looking for an entertaining book for you and your preschooler, I would recommend this one! All of the books and also the tv version of this show are extremely entertaining.

A Post I Just Had To Share....

I cannot take credit for this post, but I think you will enjoy it....This is from a blog that I have recently started following, and I think this just sums up life sometimes....

The Pilot's Wife--You're a Good Mom Too

It's pretty dead on!

On a more personal note, I am back on my weight loss challenge. This means that for the next 12 weeks I will be dieting, exercising, and trying to loose the ten pounds that I managed to obtain while enjoying the Holiday Season. My Holiday Season aparantly started the day after my 10 year high school reunion. That was in August. Anyways, this is where I'm at. Had my first weigh in last night. They run the women through like cattle...weight, measure, and take frontal and side view photos. Kinda like you've committed a crime and you're heading for prison. But, after 12 weeks, it's kinda fun to take those same measurements and compare photos. Needless to say, I am a weight loss challenge drop out because this is my....wait for it...fourth one! Hmmmmmm....What can I say? I just enjoy eating.

Tucker is officially two and a half today. I always try to document this day with handprints and photos and statistics for the scrapbook, so I'm headed downstairs to wrangle him into a photo shoot and some handprints. Again, kinda like prison. He's gonna love it.

Wednesday Wednesday Wednesday

I haven't been posting as much this week because I have been working on:
1)Project Life (all caught up)
2)Valentine cards for our monthly swap (almost done)
3)Cleaning house....since my scrapbooking is all packed away, leaves lots of "idle" time to clean
4) POTTY TRAINING and I am so proud to say I think we're through the actual training part of it an on to the POTTY REFINING stage. This means that Tucker knows when to poop and where to go...almost makes it to the toilet every time. Except that once when he pooped on my foot, and today, twice, when he pooped on the side of the toilet. But, we're in the general vicinity, so I'm still stoked. This also means that we can, indeed, venture out into public. I may be an optimist, but I'm not an idiot. I pack a couple pairs of pants and underwear just to make it to Albertsons. So far, no public accidents, but the smallest thing, such as a doughnut in the bakery can make him loose all track of self control. Congrats to Tucker!

And Cameron is getting sick. How do I know? Because always the day or two before she gets sick, she gets really really mean. Picks on everybody from me to the dog and fights with herself. And she gets these really weird looking purple rings under her eyes. It's coming, yay for me! I found this old shot of her from a couple of years ago. I think this is when she stopped looking like a baby, and started looking like a little girl. One of those photos that really aren't that great, but I love it just the same.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! We are off for haircuts for both kids and then home for rests. I plan on deep cleaning my bedroom this afternoon, and Matt has threatened to divorce me if I don't make a decision on colors for my scrapbook cabinets....can't decide between smoky blue or sage greenish. It's so permenant. I can't decide what I want to look at ever day! The walls are tanish colored and the cubicles are all going to be crisp white, it's just an accent color and also the cabinets and drawers will be painted this color. What to do, what to do....so I may just take the afternoon and search around the web and see if I can find any inspiration.

My best friend from high school is coming into town tomorrow night. Haven't seen her for a while. Should be a good time. Always fun to reminisce about the good old days. Looking forward to spending time with her this weekend. Yay!

Llama Llama Mad at Mama Llama Llama Mad at Mama by Anna Dewdney

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I have a thing for kids books that rhyme and this one is an excellent rhyming book. It tells the story of Llama Llama and Mama Llama. This one in particular is about going to the store with Mama Llama. It talks about things from little llama's perspective, all while rhyming. The best line is one that is found in other Llama Llama books. "Enough of all this Llama drama!"

Having two children of my own makes me realize how difficult it must be to try on clothes and shop for bargains all day long at the super mart. Very realistic and a perspective that both of my kids can relate to and enjoy. A must read series for any kid!

I still HATE January

I am still being pissy about the weather here. Another bleak cold day. Atleast Thursday was sunny and deceptive in the sense that it looked warmer than it was. We went for a walk and I swept out the garage so I was feeling pretty upbeat about the day, but now we are back to this cold, gray, nastiness that is January. So, I found a few other photos to share with you. This first one was when we took Cameron and Tucker to Roaring Springs for my birthday in August. Cameron is enjoying a $4.00 ice cream bar. I just love how they make huge money off of hot and hungry people at places like these.
And here is Tucker sporting his latest "I'm a boy, therefore I'm a disaster" scab. This one was actually caused by Cameron. We got him a plastic car table for Christmas. It comes with a wooden cover to turn it into a small table. Cameron tried to put the cover on while Tucker was still playing cars. It landed right on his eye.

Here are the kids in late October with friends at Purdums. We were waiting for the tractor to take us out into the fields to pick out pumpkins. They had a great photo opportunity place, but with four kids this age, it doesn't matter how great the background is, they still won't cooperate.

And Tucker riding the "Big Green Tractor". I know it's not green. But because of Jason Aldean's song, "Big Green Tractor", everything that is or is even close to a tractor is a "big green tractor" as far as Tucker is concerned.

And finally one more from a warm and sunny day at Roaring Springs. We had a blast at the water park! Can't wait for next summer to go again!

I haven't been posting this week because I have been busy helping Matt with the upstairs project. I now have half walls, brown painted walls, and laminate flooring. He is in the shop working on my cabinets as I type. I am so excited for this room! I can't wait to spread out all my stuff and just enjoy my own space. Matt is so talented at this kind of thing, which is awesome because we could/would never afford or pay someone to do this kind of thing.

I am still on a Pioneer Woman kick. If you haven't checked this gal out, you need to. She's so funny! I love when Moms get successful strictly off of the story of their own lives. She is wonderful! Tonight I am trying Beef Stew with Mushrooms. I am all about any recipe that calls for butter, mushrooms, steak, and wine. Should be a good one. This one isn't in her book, but online. She has an entire recipe archive. Check it out!

I can't take it anymore!

Because I just absolutely hate January, with a passion. And I'm tired of being positive and upbeat about it. And I seriously want to kick some cold weather butt, here are some sun shiny 100+ degree heat pictures for you to make you atleast fantasize about the warm weather that is so far off from now it makes me want to scream. Yesterday I actually took the kids to the playground and made them get out and play. I couldn't take it anymore. They were shivering and trying to get warm and I just kept telling them to go run around. I can't take the indoors. The air is thick with winter breathe and I just want to run to somewhere warm. I promised myself I wouldn't use my blog as a personal bitch fest, but this has been building and has needed to be let out. I. HATE. JANUARY. And don't even try to butter up to me, February, because you suck almost as bad. The only thing that saves you is February 14th. And Loggers Conference. Logger's Conference, You say?...Yes, you heard me right....LOGGERS CONFERENCE. Complete with a Sawdust Bowl. But then we still have a month of inversions, fog, ice, and sludge before I can tell you about the biggest grouping of Loggers in one place at one time. It's quite the experience.

Oh, and did you know if you search for "Sexy Logger" on Google.com, my blog comes up? I was pretty excited. And speaking of sexy loggers....guess who painted my scrapbook room tonight???? It's GORGEOUS!

Enough randomness for one night. I'm going to bed.

Welcome Baby Wyatt!

I am the proud Auntie to a new nephew! Matt's brother and sister-in-law, Jake and Ashley finally had their first baby, Wyatt Jess Brown on Sunday. After close to 20 hours of labor, he made his appearance and what a cutie pie! I may be a little prejudice because he has the same Brown traits that my kids had, so it made me a little nostalgic for holding my own two angels, but this one is a looker!

If you can pardon the crazy look on my face, and just focus on Cameron and baby, then this is a great shot of her meeting her new cousin. I swear, Matt takes photos of me looking half crazed just for fun....

And Tucker is just tickled to death with this little guy.

And again, can I just say "precious"? This is the first time I have ever felt any amount of baby fever ever.

Anyways, a big congrats out to Jake and Ashley. Can't wait to go over there and hold him. I always try to picture what these little guys are going to look like when they're about 10 years old. I would sit for hours at at time and imagine Cameron at 3 at 12, and so on. Only God could create something so wonderful and beautiful as a newborn baby.

On a much more exciting note (atleast for me) Tucker has not had one accident today! I never thought the sweetest words I would ever hear are "Mommy, potty" but they are the best ones ever. We are so close to getting that Hot Wheel at BiMart....hopefully I didn't curse us by bragging.

We hit story time today and then picked out a bunch of Dinosaur themed books at the library, which we have already read. Twice. Now we are resting for Cameron's ballet practice this afternoon. I should probably go mop the kitchen floor while they are having some downtime, but I will probably check facebook next because that's how I roll! Thanks for reading!

Scrapbook Room--Before Shots

I just wanted to share with you what my wonderful husband is doing for me upstairs. For those of you who have never seen my "Space" for scrapbooking, it is basically a collaboration of different old countertops, folding tables, storage containers and crap piled everywhere. It is actually cleaned up for this after shot. Then, last summer I decided to start painting, but never finished, so one wall is brown, one is still white, and one is a brown that turned purple over the top of some yellow. This weekend I had to pack away all of my crap (so no projects for a little while) and he pulled up counters and carpet. We went to RC Willey and took adavantage of 99 cent laminate flooring. I am on my way over to pick that up today. Then tonight (hopefully) we can lay the floor and finish my half finished paint project. After that, it will be full counters and storage. I'm also actually going to have a place to store all of my scrapbooks on big deep bookshelves. I am so excited!

Tucker is Matt's little helper. He carries the hammer around and waits to be told to hit something with it. Then he keeps saying, "Now what, now what Dad????" And the "big boy" underwear just add to the photo, don't they?

The before shot, like the paint?

And for those of you who are following along with Project Life, here is my sweet girl with my first page of Project Life. Since the year started on a Friday, I only have Friday the 1st and Saturday the 2nd on this first page, but you get the gist. I added a few extra photos just to finish up the page. From here on one, there will be seven journals and seven or eight photos on a two page spread. This project is awesome! It's not to late to start taking a photo a day to document your life. I'm having so much fun taking photos of things like dinner on the table and just the mundane things of life that will be so much fun to look back on later. Enjoy!

Potty Training--to Pee or not to Pee

Once again, we are potty training here in the Brown household. I tried it a few months ago with no success, so I decided to take the Holidays off and try again when things were normal around here again. Tucker is potty training whether he wants to be or not. He will officially be two and a half on January 22nd, and I hope to have made some decent headway by then. Unfortunately, he just doesn't care one iota about being wet or dry. Cameron was completely finished by this point, he has only made it to the toilet a few times with success on his own. But, we're getting there, as he is usually wetting himself and then making the mad dash, so he's starting to connect. The kid can hold it like a camel if I remember to focus, set the kitchen timer, and remind him, but the second I get distracted, you can just about bet money he'll have an accident. But, when you're this cute, it's hard to get mad.

But I think he's totally working the "cute card" here.

So after not very many successes in relation to the many accidents, I decided to go straight to the old parenting standby or bribery. Here is Tucker's potty chart. Because I made this spontaneously and out of sheer desperation to drive home the point, it isn't very exciting, but I think he gets it. Basically, every time he goes potty, he gets a sticker. When all squares are stickered, he gets to go to BiMart (his favorite store, how redneck is that?) and pick out a hotwheel. Unfortunately, I don't think he has any idea that my drawing is a hotwheel. So I have to keep repeating it. I'm thinking about going and buying some and taping them to the fridge so he can see the end reward. I don't know. You think you know what you're doing since you're a second time Mom, but aparantly Cameron potty trained me, not me training her becase I have no clue how to make Tucker connect. Hopefully persistance will play out and he'll give in and pee in the toilet.

January 7th

Because sometimes I actually do spend time reading Yahoo News and I actually do feel intelligent because I didn't spend an hour on facebook....

http://finance.yahoo.com/family-home/article/108504/10-things-not-to-buy-in-2010

I found this article and it just made me feel.....for lack of a better word, OLD!

Read the article for an indepth explanation, but these are the 10 things NOT to waste your time with in 2010:

1)DVD's
2)Home Television Service
3) External Hard Drives
4) Any phone besides the iphone or Blackberry
5) Compact Digital Camera
6) Newspaper subscription
7) CDs
8) New College Textbooks
9)Gas guzzling vehicles
10)Energy "Inefficient" Home anythings

Seriously? This all makes sense if you check out the website, but DVD's? They say they will soon be replaced by uploads on computers or other hardware devices. okay....but I still have some VHS tapes that I'm holding onto... In fact, we just bought a new DVD/VHS combo for our bedroom. External Hard Drives are out? I never even bought one to be in! I still have the Motorola Flip Phone, I still read the newspaper, I LOVE CD's don't care what they say. I have upgraded to the Canon Digital Rebel Camera and I wish that New College Textbooks would have been "out" six years ago when I was paying a couple hundred bucks a piece for one. I drive an SUV, but it's a Toyota, and they (Toyota, not SUVs) are currently taking over the market, so I'm in and out there. And I have made the switch to those funky looking lightbulbs that only glow for the first few minutes after you turn them on, so I guess I'm on the right path to being "IN" with energy.

Thoughts on Snow

I hate snow. I always have. I live for flip flops and 100 degree weather just doesn't faze me. But snow makes me grumpy. When my friend Bonnie called me at 9:45 in the morning to see if I wanted to take the kids sledding, I was hesitant and almost called to cancel a few times, but I'm so glad we went. It was a BLAST! Now this may look like a winter wonderland, but we are actually right here in Emmett at the Island. Yup. The island. There is one hill there that is absolutely perfect for 2 and 4 year olds. And, although it isn't that big of a hill, it was still quite the work out pulling sledloads of kids to the top. Because another thing about 2 and 4 year olds is that they just don't work very hard for the satisfaction of life. Instead, Mom pulls them to the top and sends them squealing back down again, only to turn around and do it again. Can you imagine what life must be like when you are that age? How exciting it must be to go down a teeny tiny hill like the one at the Island? I wish I were that excited about anything in my life today.

Tucker hates snow. He probably got that from me. So he cried when I put his coat on. He cried when I put his hat on. Again with the gloves. And again when I put him on the darn sled. But, he finally realized, like his Mom, that the snow was here so he might as well make the best of it. Here he is making the best of this situation.

And here is my little Snow Bunny, Cameron. Obviously not affected by the cold at all. Always one to enjoy every aspect of life.

Tucker deciding if Cayden can do it, then he can too....and he almost cracked a smile. Do you like how red his poor fingers are because he refuses to wear gloves? No wonder he's grouchy!

The three stooges: Mary, Cailey, and Cameron.

Can you just imagine these three in high school? Their poor fathers.....

I just got back from Story Time at the library with Tucker. It was his first time and he did great! I was worried about his attention span, but he sat through three books on his carpet square and did the finger play song like a champ! It's hard to believe that he is technically old enough for 3-Year old Preschool this coming fall. I am trying to get him used to the school setting incase we decide to go that route. He's so shy, at this point I'm not sure he'll be ready, but he enjoyed it today! Cameron went back to preschool (praise God) so she is back to the grind and seemed to enjoy her day. Checked our numbers at Bi-Mart (got nothing) and now we are home for lunch and rests. Cameron has ballet this afternoon. Thanks to my huge Fiesta Bowl dinner production last night and lasagna the night before, I am free and easy on dinner tonight, so I think I will kick back and enjoy my magazines and TV this evening. I might even scrapbook. Thank goodness for leftovers!

Thank You Card

This is my Thank You Card that I created for my December card swap. I totally used what I had and made the embellished flower from paper, punches, buttons and thread. This is a cost effective creation...my favorite kind!

Since I am not spending my Avon on scrapbook supplies, I am having to actually use some of the massive amounts of supplies that I have hoarded over the years. Come to find out, I should have used them when they were in style, as it's not nearly as fun to use old stuff as new.

Gearing up for the big Fiesta Bowl tonight. Not that I truly care, but then I feel guilty that I don't care so I try. Therefore, go BSU! What I am excited about is making some hot wings and junk food to eat for snacks. I love junk dinners. I am going to try a new recipe for some cube steak Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches. They are simply calling my name at this point, so we'll see.

I am out to deliver Avon and drop some watches off at a little boutique on Main Street. I'm going to see how I do with impulse shopper on Main Street. Judging by the amount of shopping I see going on down there, I figure I won't make any big money, but you never know.

We are stuck upstairs while our carpets are being cleaned and then we have to leave while they dry so I'm not sure where we are going after Avon is delivered.

Enjoy your day.

2010 Goals

I guess if I document these here, they are as good as inscribed in stone...I know you readers won't let me forget my intentions to improve myself, so here they are.

My 2010 Goals and Aspirations to improve myself as a wife, mother, woman, and all around good person...

1)Document our story through Project Life
2)Continue to fight the battle of the bulge from overeating and overdrinking with the help of Herbalife and drinking lots and lots of water.
3)Monthly, if not more often, hire a babysitter and spend time with the Logger. After all, he is the one that works his butt off to let me be Mom and Spoiled Wife. Visit the Relationship section of the bookstore (aka Amazon.com) and find some new and exciting ways to spice up life with two kids....actually put down Creating Keepsakes and pick up Cosmopolitan. I picked it up today and was totally shocked by the title, "New Moves in the bedroom". Crap. There probably are new ones out there. I used to be that girl, I think now that both kids are sleeping most nights and not needing me physically (nursing) for anything, I can try to be that girl again. (Too much info...sorry about that!)
4)Embrace the fact that I am turning 29 this year. Try something new. Not sure what that will be yet...
5)Have a craft booth at the Carberry Bazaar. Not a big $ maker, but self-fulfilling to sell some of my creations. I did it a few years ago, I plan to do it again this winter.
6)I met my goal from last year, which was to make President's Club selling Avon. Now my goal is to not spend ever dime I make from selling Avon on scrapbooking, but instead, starting last week, rathole every dime I make to take the kids to Disneyland next January. I'm hoping to be able to say, "Look honey, it's paid for! Now get your ass in the car, we're going to Disneyland!". I will do it.
7)Read five of "The Classics"
8)Learn to cook. Really cook. Not just Tacos, lasagna, or something fried. I think I may have found my teacher. Pioneer Woman. Her cookbook is WONDERFUL. Real down home, calorie laden food. Like she says, she's cooking for four kids and a rancher. They all need calories. I cook for two kids and a logger. Kind of the same idea. I can't wait to try her cubesteak sandwiches. Matt is going to want to marry me all over again. I ordered it on Amazon today.
9)Love my kids and enjoy every second of the less than 16 years I have with the two of them. Play. Color. Dance. Laugh. Love. Smile.
10) EMBRACE LIFE--love everyone who I come in contact with. Pray alot. For myself. For Matt. For Cameron. For Tucker. For peace. For change. For friends. For success. For health. Reflect on the good that I have. I am so lucky.

So here we are, at the beginning.

You're So Sweet

Just thought I would share one of my creations from the past week. This was for my neice's first birthday party. I LOVE LOVE LOVE anything pink and brown and this is one of my favorite patterned papers ever. I had the flower from Close To My Heart's big flower pack and it all just kind of came together from there. This was a spontaeous creation that I thought turned out better than most of mine that I put a lot of thought and planning into. This first photo is the back of the envelope. I had so much fun coloring the cupcake, I just kept going with it.

A close up of the center of the card. I used a button, some ribbon, and a pearl tipped quilting pin for an added touch to the center. I colored my tag with copics and used diamond glaze with pixie dust glitter to add to the frosting.

The final creation...

Everybody having a wonderful 2010? I have committed to documenting my entire year by using Becky Higgin's Project Life. Basically, it's a photo a day and a small journal square. I am determined to get this finished and in an album by this time next year. So far so good...I have taken my first two days worth of photos....will keep you posted.

Friday, January 1

Hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas with family and friends. I can't believe it's officially 2010! Happy New Year. I was digging through our wine and champagne stash last night for something bubbly and I came across a champagne bottle engraved from Tik's Tavern (here in Emmett) from the Millenium Bash 2000. Has it really already been 10 years since Y2K? Remember the big hoo yah over all the computers exploding? What a crazy decade....life changed for all of us in more ways than one. I became an adult, a wife, and a mother this decade. I also started my slow decent toward insanity and am tetering on the edge of my 20's. But what a place to be...I am happy, healthy, successful, and have everything a girl could ask for! Hope you're feeling these same feelings as we begin a new decade, one with a lot of changes coming in the World and economy...hopefully.

Anyways, here are some photos of the kids on Christmas. Tucker got his TRex that he wanted. But he's scared of it. So we just look at it and walk around it because he doesn't understand that it's him making him roar and move with the remote. With time, he'll catch on. It doesn't help that Matt has been chasing both kids with it for days.
